Again, untrue colors. It was evening and we were heading back, but Mom wanted to stop at a lookout to see if the views had cleared a bit. They had, and now featured goats, which are apprently a threat to native vegetation. People also hunt them.

I am not myself an expert on bovid taxonomy, which is often especially slippery when domestication is involved, but the recent treatment of Capra in Handbook of Mammals of the World treats domestic (and feral) goats as a distinct species, C. hircus, rather than a subspecies of C. aegagrus. Accepting this means would mean this image should be associated with C. hircus and not C. aegagrus.
