Per R. Menzies and R. George: "Munnopsis with pleon having two pronounced postereolateral spine-shaped processes which are more than one-half as long as basal article of uropod. A tiny spine at the postereolateral angle of pleon located anterior to the base of each spine-like process. Pleon longer than posterior four peraeonal somites together, posterior border convex. Mandible with tri-articulate palp and movable lacinia but without setal row and molar process. Carpus of first peraeopod shorter than ischium and as long as propodus but twice as wide. First pleopod of male about five times as long as maximum width, inner lobes distally truncated, length of inner lobes much shorter than distance between postereolateral corners of pleopods. Uropods very slender, about the length of pleon, second article one-half as long as first."
