First cells of Stigeoclonium living on Oedogonium. The tiny filamentous extensions don´t belong to the alga but are cyanobacteria of genus Chamaesiphon. 

 Aufwuchs on Oedogonium which itself was Aufwuchs on roots dangling in a creek´s water. This image was taken using Zeiss Universal with Olympus C7070 CCD camera.
