A restored prairie at Meadowbrook Park in Urbana, Illinois. Usually, Bradbury's Bee Balm grows in more wooded areas. The flowerheads are largely devoid of corollas because the blooming period is nearing completion (early June). The foliage may be yellowish green because of the bleaching action of full sunlight at this site.
