This mantidfly landed on the hood of a car and we relocated it to a stick for some more naturalistic photos. These are dainty, but fierce-looking, creatures. Body length measured--about 13 mm. Originally identified as Dicromantispa sayi, expert consultation shows this is Leptomantispa pulchella.  PCCA20080810-5092A
