Dear Gulia, Thank you for noticing the error in the labeling of the photo of the holotype of Trigonostoma (Trigonostoma) thysthlon Petit & Harasewych, 1987, USNM 747301. The specimen in the photograph had been in the USNM collections, incorrectly labeled as Trigonostoma antiquata, prior to the description of Trigonostoma thysthlon by Petit and Harasewych in 1987, and became the holotype of T. thysthlon. Apparently, there had been an error in recataloguing the specimen, which has now been corrected, as has the labeling of the image. However, it may take a few weeks for the corrected image to appear on EOL. Thank you again from bringing this error to our attention.

G., 1987. - The Indo-west pacific species of the genus Trigonostoma sensu stricto (Gastropoda ; Cancellariidae). The veliger, Berkeley , V. 30 , n° 1, p. 76-81. à la page 79 fig. 8, il y a ce même spécimen avec le même numéro, avec la même provenance, avec le nom de Trigonostoma (Trigonostoma) thysthlon sp. nov.

Pourquoi pensez-vous cela? Regardez la source dans le catalogue spécimen de musée. Il dit Trigonostoma (Trigonostoma) antiquata Hinds comme la légende de la photo.

Le n° USNM 747301et cette photo fait référence à l'Holotype de l'espèce Trigonostoma (Trigonostoma) thysthlon Petit & Harasewych, 1987et non à l'espèce antiquata Hinds, 1843 !!!!!
