Range Description
This species is widely distributed in the Caribbean from Florida and Gulf of Mexico to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Strays north to Massachusetts (Allen 1980) and has been reported from the eastern Atlantic. Also recorded from Bermuda (Carpenter 2002). It is known from 2-55 m depth.
