Known as the Blanket bush this large shrub grows to 5 metres on occassion. Its common name arrives from the dense soft white fuzz (tomentose) on the underside of the leaf. The leaves are oblong to narrow-elliptic or lanceolate, mostly 10–20 cm long, The upper surface of the leaf is glabrous and shining with main veins impressed. It occurs in southern NSW and Victoria in moister forested habitats.
