Eastern Atlantic: Nigeria. Indo-West Pacific: Gulf of Aden, South Africa, Madagascar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea (Ref. 6871), and Australia. Often confused with sympatric Carcharhinus leucas and Glyphis gangeticus but the three are distinguishable.
