Location: 32.818177,-117.193328  I found this bee in my backyard. I live in Clairemont area of San Diego and my backyard is adjacent to the Tecolote Canyon. These bees are abundant in the area. They are always in the canyon, collecting nectar and pollen from flowers. This insect is a part of the High Tech High Insects of San Diego Field Guide.
