NatureServe Conservation Status
Rounded Global Status Rank: T1 - Critically Imperiled
Reasons: Dudleya cymosa subsp. agourensis was described in 1987, from the eastern Santa Monica Mountains (west of Los Angeles) in California. Dudleya cymosa subsp. ovatifolia, with which it is considered to be most taxonomically similar (Nakai 1987; cf. Kartesz 1999), or the same (Hickman 1993; USFWS 1997), is also rare. Under the U.S. Endangered Species Act, ssp. agourensis is considered a synonym of ssp. ovatifolia, listed as Threatened.
