James Parham commented on an older version of Wood turtles mating, White Mountains:

There is a problem with the synonymy intelligence. This species "insculpta" is no longer in the genus Clemmys and its so should not appear on the Clemmys genus page. It should only appear on the Glyptemys genus page.
