Acripeza reticulata (Mountain Katydid) seen along the track running past Lake Botsford. I saw katydids with wallaby droppings about four times along the trail and the similarity in colour and shape was very apparent. I know there are moths and spiders that disguise themselves as bird droppings so is this just a coincidence or are the katydid actually trying to hide in plain view? Also does anyone know if there's a fancy term for looking like poo! :-)
