Distribution: Common in forests in shady areas along ravines. Native of Tropical America and naturalised in Asia. 50-90cm tall, glutinous-hairy herbs. Leaves 2-10x 1.5-9cm, ovate, serrate, base cordate, acute, clothed with simple stellate hairs. Flowers 5-9cm across, yellow, solitary, or in dense follicles. Schizocarps globose.
