Glossodoris averni is a species of sea slug, a dorid nudibranch, a shell-less marine gastropod mollusk in the family Chromodorididae. It is characterized by the bright red border to the mantle. Probably has a wider distribution than recorded at present. This species is found in the Western Pacific Ocean from the Great Barrier Reef in Eastern Australia, from Papua New Guinea and from the Philippines.
