Communication and Perception
<p><span class="taxon"><em>Taeniura lymma</em></span> uses electroreception to communicate with other members of its species. Blue-spotted stingrays,use strucutres called the ampullae of Lorenzini, which allow them to detect slight electrical impulses within the water.
