Types were collected from hydrothermal vent communities at the Eastern Lau Spreading Center in the south-western Pacific at 2620 m depth from Kilo Moana (20°9`S, 176°12`E), and at 2145 m from ABE (20°45`S, 176°11`E) (Zelnio et al., 2009)
