@Katja Schulz: Thanks - I will use the detail tab more in future. Merian had an incredible life, including being the first European to describe leaf-cutter ants.

Do you know why it is called Merian's Borstel? I know it is a brush, but who was Merian? It is a very old name and appears in Moses Harris. Also, interesting that the hairs in the 4 dorsal clumps on yours seem shorter than on others I have seen.
