Marine Partners

More than 60 Content Partners share exclusively or primarily marine content with EOL. These marine partners represent a wide array of educational and research projects large and small, ranging from single-person content collections to global collaborations of hundreds of scientists. As the first Census of Marine Life (CoML) was completed in 2010, many CoML projects partnered with us to disseminate the results of their work and descriptions of their species of interest. Researchers worldwide have discovered organisms previously unknown to science and in some regions the number of known species may soon be doubled. We have a vast collection of marine wildlife videos, captured by cameras carried by divers and Remotely Operated Vehicles, and mounted on ships and deep-sea platforms.
