One fascinating thing I learned after reading this page is that immature hawks have yellowish-grey eyes, which turn dark brown as they mature into adults.
I found it interesting that males are raspberry red on their head, chest, and rump, and that the purple finch is New Hampshire's state bird.
Until reading this, I never knew that Northern cardinals formed into large flocks at night!
I read this article and I found that it was very interesting that robins form into large flocks at night.
Until I read this article, I didn't know that male blue jays were just a little larger than female blue jays. I also didn't know that blue jays were omnivorous!
