When the Oriole catches larvae, it smashes it against a twig to crack open the shell and then eats it.
The fact that owls can fly silently because of there loose feathers always astounds me!
This birds main predator is hawks and falcons. So as to not be caught it will flatten itself against a tree and try to blend in, or it will dodge behind branches.
I'm amazed at how fast this bird can go. It has been clocked at 200 mph!
