This got an unusual amount of traffic on April 27, 2012 and the next few days. Not sure why but it must have been in the news.

This monster of the deep was featured in an article in yesterday's Huffington Post with a link to an impressive photo on the SI Ocean portal website. I went to see what EOL has for this - it doesn't even look like a fish. Help needed!

We have a number of SEM and specimen images, would be good to get a live animal image. Not a high priority.

There are many primate images that have no more specific taxon association. Some of these are trusted as "Primates", some of them are not. Could use someone with better knowledge than I have to wander through and associate some species. -- cyndy replies -- Can you give an example? I went looking for images just associated with Primates and out of about 50 from the Primate worklist (so far) I couldn't find any. What partner do they come from?

These snakes include venomous snakes mentioned in a recent toxicology article. We could use a good brief description as well as attention for venomous snakes in general.

These fish parasites have gotten blog attention. I've invited a couple of better photos but we could still use good brief summaries based on the scientific literature.

Given that we have Hexacorallians of the World as a partner (see http://eol.org/collections/229), it seems odd we don't have anything at all for the top-level taxon page for their work.

We can do much better than the comprehensive description currently featured on this page. A brief description that illuminates this taxon would be deeply appreciated.

Yes, it could use a photo. Yes, the brief overview should be reviewed by a curator. But wow, something wonky is happening with the details page down at the bottom, perhaps with the Wikipedia article.
