@Jason Sharp: In this case my recommendation is as my colleagues have already suggested. That said, the description of the photo. . .that's wild!

Cyndy Parr commented on "EOL Discussion Group":
@Jason Sharp: I agree with Katja. There is nothing necessarily inaccurate about an image with a watermark, so it shouldn't be automatic grounds for untrusting. But I'd downrate too, especially if there are better images without watermarks. I suppose if the watermark message were hateful I'd consider hiding.

Katja Schulz commented on "EOL Discussion Group":
@Jason Sharp: I find that watermark corny, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's just a form of personal expression, and I would trust the image as long as the watermark doesn't obscure the subject too much. Generally, I tend to rate images with any kind of large watermark lower than unmarked images.

Jason Sharp commented on "EOL Discussion Group":
I wanted to bring attention to this type of 'watermark' which is being submitted via the Flickr group. I have come across some of these pictures and was unsure if I should 'trust' them with what I believe is a questionable 'watermark'. Please advise. http://eol.org/data_objects/19141099

Hey folks, inspired by Fake Wikipedia Caught by Reddit I've done a little searching on EOL to make sure we aren't getting mythical or otherwise malicious content. I found one mythical creature and have hidden it. Let us know if you find anything you think is suspicious!
