These are the diatoms, but there is a louse from the NMNH resource in there. Nitzschia Denny, 1842 is apparently a junior homonym of Nitzschia Baer 1826, the flatworm.

September 2011: This page currently has two images of velvet worms, and the GBIF map is for the worms, too. Th IUCN classification featured on this page is actually for worms. The Catalogue of Life classification is for the fungus. The Index Fungorum classification, which features this genus, is missing from the names tab.

There are no rabbit fungi polluting the velvet worms, probably because we don't have anything on them. However, there are a bunch of misplaced jellyfish in the media tab and the Index Fungorum classification, which features the rabbit fungus, not the velvet worms, is listed in the names tab.

Philophloeus nodifer is a weevil beetle (Curculionidae), but the map (from GBIF) belongs to the Australian ground beetle genus originally spelled Philophlaeus! Unfortunately the ground beetles are often misspelled with-oe, hence the confusion!

The original spelling is Philophlaeus, but the incorrect spelling with-oe- seems to be in "prevailing usage". Probably a case that should be submitted to the ICZN Commission for a ruling...?
