Descriptions Needed for Saguaro National Park Species
Last updated almost 2 years ago
This collection provides lists of prominent species that occur in Saguaro National Park but which do not yet have good information available on EOL. If you can help, please join the Saguaro National Park BioBlitz Community. Whenever you add information about one of the listed species, please post a note in the Collection Newsfeed, so we can reassess the needs for the species.
How to add information to EOL
To add an article directly to EOL, go to the Detail tab on any EOL taxon page and look for the add an article to this page button at the top of the page. This will take you to a form where you can select a topic for your contribution, add an optional title (describing your subtopic), and enter your text and references. Any text you add will immediately go live on the EOL site, but unless you are registered as a full curator, your articles will initially be marked as unreviewed. Whenever you want to edit one of your text contributions, go to its data object info page, which you can access through the learn more about this article link in the Detail tab. There will be an edit this article button near the top of the page.
If you are contributing content that is derived from another source, please take care to read the EOL’s Licensing Policy for Content Providers and be mindful of whether or not your use of that content is permissible. Also, always make sure to cite your sources so the reader can find out where the information originally came from. In general it's ok to copy text that's in the public domain or released under a creative commons license that allows reuse. For example, Wikipedia content is released under an Attribution-ShareAlike license, which allows you to use the text verbatim on EOL. For more information see Re-using Wikipedia content.
