Specimen records in Webb (1984) are primarily from northern Virginia, plus one from Southampton County. A photo in BugGuide (658824) is from riparian woods in Richmond's James River Park. "The most numerous of this rather uncommon group; has been taken in Piedmont localities from June 14 to July 18." (Malloch et al. 1931)
