    American Robin

    Robins can often be seen hopping around yard looking for earthworms. They are very distinguished in color and by behavior. I see them all the time in my yard. they mostly feed on earthworms and some plants and berries.

    Blue Jay

    The Blue Jay is an omnivore, but it mostly feeds on plants like nuts and berries. Its colors make it very recognizable and it has many noisy bird calls. A very interesting fact I learnd is that the young usually only stay at the nest for 17-21 days after hatching.

    Eastern Bluebird

    Eastern bluebirds are omnivores and are vey social. Sometimes young will stay around a bit longer to raise the next generation. I thought that pretty cool that older children will work together with the parents to raise new youmg.

    American Kestrel

    The american kestrel is the smallest falcon in North America, adult size being 9-12 in.. It feeds on mainly small rodents along with insects and other meat. I once saw one in my backyard munching on another bird.
