The National Biodiversity Institute (INBio) is a private, non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 1989 with the mission to promote a greater awareness of the value of biodiversity as a means to ensure its conservation and improve the quality of life of human beings. INBio is a scientific and technological organization that generates information and promotes initiatives for conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity, by incorporating them into the endeavors of society.
