They also eat impalas, birds, rabbits, young warthogs, and other small animals. Cheetahs hunt during the day. They look for their prey while the sit in trees or tall mounds. When they see an animal they want to eat, they will try to get close to the animal, then run really fast to catch it. They run for about 20 seconds to one minute. The animal the cheetah hunts in normally knocked down as the cheetah runs into it. The cheetah then grabs the animal by the throat to kill it.

These habitats include grasslands, forests, savannahs, rainforests, and even some deserts. Leopards are carnivores. They like to eat small antelopes, gazelles, deer, pigs, monkeys, and livestock. Leopards prefer to hunt at night. They hunt the animals they want to eat by crouching low to the ground and pouncing. They like to bite the animal’s neck or throat. Polar bears eat the skin and fat of the animals they hunt. They often do not eat the rest of the animal. They will leave the animal remains for other animals, like arctic foxes, to eat.
