Maria Garagouni commented on "Anthropoides paradiseus (A. A. H. Lichtenstein, 1793)":
Can anyone tell me why it's called Anthropoides? That's greek for "man-like"...

Tanya Dewey commented on "Homo sapiens Linnaeus, 1758":
It's also interesting and strange that the reference for a text object receives so much more space and attention than the attribution for the author. For example, see Physical Description section for Homo sapiens. The reference is, appropriately, readily viewable. But the attribution to the author of that particular text is hidden behind a link to the Animal Diversity Web and the Regents of the University of Michigan. No more small ADW logo?

Tanya Dewey commented on "Homo sapiens Linnaeus, 1758":
It's sort of strange that you can only comment on the overview page. This comment is re: maps for Homo sapiens. They are pretty hilarious. Although I recognize the disclaimer at the bottom of the gbif map (This map is based on occurrence records available through the GBIF network and may not represent the entire distribution. Access these data through the GBIF Portal.).
