Description
The Encyclopedia of Life does not have a singular taxonomic hierarchy upon which it creates its pages. Rather EOL indexes many hierarchies and compares them against each other. This API list metadata about a hierarchy such as the provider name and source URL, as well as lists all the taxa which are the root taxa of the taxonomic tree
